Morning’s, the third album from Philadelphia experimental rock group Boon is a product of insomnia and mourning, but also a determination to find beauty and peace in their midst. Much of the album was written in the early hours of the morning, just before the sun rises, and many of the songs turn to thoughts and feelings that are loudest when the world outside is peacefully asleep. Morning’s wrestles with self-doubt, existential dread and anxiety, but also wonder.
